TXB0106 behavior with unpowered VCCA

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0106

I am looking at using the TXB0106 as a buffer in a circuit in which one side might be un powered.  If I have the VCCA side be the side unpowered and the OE being undriven in this state, will there be any load on the VCCB side of the device or could I drive those pins without issue?

Thanks,

Brian

  • hello Brian,

If VCCA is pulled to GND the outputs will be placed in a high-impedance state which should isolate the B side from any load on the A side. However, I would not recommend leaving VCCA or OE floating, it would be a good idea to pull them to GND when they are not being powered.
