TXB0108PWR(Level Translator) - can fail during ESD?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: STRIKE

Dear All,

We are  using TXB0108PWR  for our design. The level shifter is needed as LCD operates at 5V and Micro controller operates at 3.3V.

We are using LCD module and it is interfaced to our board through  Board to Board connector .

Issue:

While applying 2KV ESD pulse at the LCD connector end the current shoots upto 900mA  for a period of 60ns at the I/O port of Level translator.

We have used spice model for ESD and  buffer for doing simulation

I just want to know is there any possibility of level translator(TXB0108PWR) getting failed when current shoots to 900mA?

I have attached the schematics and waveform for reference

Thanks,

Sakthivel
