We have some prototype assemblies that were designed with the 244 part but the vendor supplied the 2244 part. My question is this a workable substitution?

    The difference between sn74lvc244a and sn74lvc2244a is the presence of 26ohm series resistor on the output of LVC2244a.

    I wouldnt think the performance of the parts will be very different. With the series resistors, you can get away with the requirement of external Rs.

    Got the schematics and after review I found that all they are doing is buffering the DIP switch configuration to the PIC32 inputs directly without the resistors so this is probably the better choice anyway.
