I am using TM4c1294EVK board and sending (SPI data line) digital signals CLK, DATA, SYNC to the DAC's. These signals from TI board are routed through interface board to the DAC's in our application board (Unit Under Test - UUT). I would like to drive these signals using 1 mtr cable for testing the UUT which will be kept in environmental chamber. The buffer IC used in the interface board is TXB0108PWR is not capable to drive SPI data over a 1 mtr cable. Can you suggest which TI IC I can use to buffer SPI data over 1 mtr cable length to drive the DAC's ? So that the TXB0108PWR output can be buffered further using small board.

Hello Jayasankar,

Our best option for SPI is the AVC4T774. It can operate between 1.2V and 3.6V and provide 12mA drive current at 3V. Take a look at this part and if it is not suitable for you let us know and we can provide another recommendation.

Thanks for your suggestion. But my board circuit works on 5V Logic.

TI board# EK-TM4C1294XL output is level shifted and buffered from 3.3V to 5V using TXB0108PWR for SPI.

Would like to cascade new 5V buffer (to be selected) to the existing TXB0108PWR buffer output to drive SPI signals over 1 mtr cable.

So can you please suggest 5V buffer suitable for driving SPI signals over 1 mtr cable ?

If you are operating at 5V, the only option we have from our portfolio is the LVC family. In this case you will need to use two LVC2T45 translators as we do not have a 4-bit option available.
