SN74LVC1G80: Does 5V tolerant input also include the clock input?

The datasheet says that the input can be up to 5.5V, while the chip is power only at 3.3V. But can the clock input be 5.5V as well?

Hello Ulrik,

Yes, the clock input is tolerant to 5.5V as well, even when the VCC is 3.3V.
Was there something in the datasheet that led you to believe that the clock input would not be able to tolerate this voltage, or were you just checking?
I just wanted to make sure that the datasheet was not misleading in any way.
