TXB0106: Can it support TDM audio date at 48Mbps

Part Number: TXB0106

Hi,

We need a level shifter with requirement as below.

  • 1.5V to 3.3V
  • Bidirectional
  • Push pull
  • 5 channels
  • Max rate is 48Mbps :
    • Intel HD Audio Data Out: Serial TDM data output to the codec(s).

The serial output is double-pumped for a bit rate of 48Mb/s

I see TXB0106 can support up to 50Mbps.  Do you think it's too marginal?  Or do you suggest any part supporting higher data rate? What can customer do on board design with TXB0106 to achieve 48Mbps?

Thanks!

Antony

  • HDA signals are strictly unidirectional. So why are you asking for a bidirectional level shifter with automatic direction sensing?

I would suggest a 4-bit device for BCLK/SYNC/SDO/RST, and a 1-bit device for SDI. Which one uses 3.3 V, controller or codec?
