Hi,
I have a question about ESD protection of CD74FCT245.
Logic Guide shows "ESD protection" as Key feature at page of 16.
But datasheet is not written about ESD protection.
What does "ESD protection" in Logic Guide mean?
Best regards,
Shimizu

The presence of IIK and IOK in the absolute maximum ratings implies that there are ESD protection diodes from GND to the input/output pins.
Nowadays, this is an ordinary protection mechanism, but the FCT family is quite old, so I guess that when FCT was introduced, the ESD protection was better than what came before.
Or whoever wrote the Logic Guide couldn't find any other feature to put into the list. ☺
