SN74LV1T125: Several questions

Part Number: SN74LV1T125

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask SN74LV1T125?

<Question1>
Our customer would like to use duty=50% to reduce the current.
However, it increases switching loss.
We guess that the formula to calculate switching loss is as follows;
-Switching on loss : 1/6*EI*(ΔTon/T)[W]
-Switching off loss : 1/6*EI*(ΔToff/T)[W]
So, could you let us know how much ΔTon and ΔToff are?

<Question2>
In case of IOL=17.48mA, how much will VOL be?Less than 1.0V?
If you have the characteristic diagram between  IOL and VOL, could you let us know?

<Question3>
In relation to <Question2>, is it possible to use with 17.48mA?
The power dissipation would be Vol V(if it is 1.0V) × 17.48 mA = 17.48mW
Is our recognition correct?

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • For how to calculate the power dissipation, see the FAQ entry Calculating Logic Power Dissipation (Cpd Spec). (The LV1T125's typical Cpd is 14 pF.)

    There is no guarantee for VOL when you exceed the recommended operating conditions. There are typcial diagrams for other logic families in Input and Output Characteristics of Digital Integrated Circuits at 5-V Supply Voltage (SZZA008), but not for LV1T. You could check similar families like LV or AHC, and extrapolate from that.

    The power dissipation of a loaded output indeed is VO × IO.
