I need some immediate support regarding a TI I2C GPIO controller; p/n's TCA6408, TCA6408A
Both of these parts appear to be identical regarding the QFN (RGT) package.
However, on page-12 in each datasheet, there is an electrical difference between the two parts.
TCA6408 - RESETn is referenced to VCCP
TCA6408A - RESETn is referenced to VCCI
1) is there an error in either datasheet.
2) are these parts 100% compatible electrically and operationally.
3) which part does TI recommend for NEW designs.
