TXB0304: Application Scenario

Part Number: TXB0304

Hi,

Is TXB0304 suitable for Serial IO, IIC and UART? Any external pull-up resister needed? Thanks!

Regards

David

  • "Serial I/O" and "UART" do not describe the electrical properties (voltages, drive strengths, allowed loads) of the application, so this question cannot be answered. However, those protocols commonly use push/pull CMOS logic levels, in which case they can be used with the TXB (without pull-up resistor, as the datasheet tells you).

I²C requires open-drain operation, so it cannot be used with TXB devices. Some TXS device would be better suited.
