TXB0104: What is the difference between GXU and ZXU packages?

Part Number: TXB0104

The datasheet mentions GXU and ZXU several times, and appears to show them as equivalent. However, only ZXU appears to be an orderable suffix so perhaps GXU is a legacy suffix that is no longer available but wasn't removed from the datasheet? Can you please tell me the difference between GXU and ZXU, especially any functional differences?

Hello Evan,

You are correct. At one point they were both available, but now the ZXU is the available orderable package. They shared the same pinout as shown in the datasheet and the ZXU package landing pattern is provided in the mechanical drawing at the end of the datasheet.

I have a related question about this MicroStar Junior BGA package. Is there a document that covers all the packages and ball patterns in the Microstar Junior BGA family? AN-1112 shows this for DSBGA packages, but I don't see an equivalent for the Microstar Junior (or even non-Junior) BGA packages. Thank you!
