-15V inverter

Hello.

I need to create a circuit that takes a pulse that goes from 0 to +15V signal and converts it to a -15V to 0V pulse.  Does TI have such a converter/inverter?  Does anyone have any suggestion as to how to accomplish this?  This is a control signal so it doesnt need to be high current.

Please assist.

Thanks

Layne

  • Most logic families do not go above 5 V. The CD4000 family supports 18 V, but that is less than 30 V, and in any case, all logic signals assume a common ground for the low level.

How fast do you need to switch? It might be possible to use a transistor or comparator.
  • Hello Layne,

A comparator can be configured to translate a signal for 0 to+15V to -15 in a level shifting configuration. To identify the proper part, can you please provide information about the frequency and the duty cycle of the signal. How much delay can the system tolerate when shifting from 0 to +15 to -15?

    Regards,
