SN74LVC1G17: Contents of IIk (Input clamp current) and Iok (Output clamp current)

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask SN74LVC1G17?

There are contents of IIk (Input clamp current) and Iok (Output clamp current) on the datasheet P4.

Does it mean that there are protection diodes at input and output?
Or, does it mean that there are parasitic diodes at input and output?
There is no block diagram on the datasheet.

These diodes are ESD protection diodes; they are designed for the specified currents.

Hello Matsumoto-san,
The input and output clamp current values on the SN74LVC1G17 indicate that there are diodes on the negative side of both the input and the output. As Clemens said, they are both part of the ESD protection circuitry. These diodes will act as negative clamps, however there are no positive clamp diodes on this device.
