TXB0108: Providing 3.3V voltage to both VccA and VccB

Part Number: TXB0108

I want to use TXB0108 level to be used as a simple buffer. Can I provide both VccA and VccB voltages as 3.3V?

Are there any other buffers available with auto direction sense?

We are designing a data acquisition system which consists of a main board and 4 sub system cards. The 4 sub system cards have to interact with the main board through a backplane. We required this IC to be mounted on the sub system cards.

The TXB implements auto direction sense by having very weak output drivers, so it is not very useful as a buffer on a bus with some capacitance.
It is not possible to have auto direction sensing together with a strong buffer.

Can't you use a bus transceiver that has configurable directions?

I have to go ahead with direction controlled buffer only in this case then.
