TXB0108: SDIO WiFi 802.11ac application LSF0108 vs TXB0108

Part Number: TXB0108
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LSF0108, SN74AVC2T45, SN74AVC1T45

Hello,

I need a bit of help so I can choose appropriate voltage level converter for my application.

I need to translate between 1.8V (WiFi LSR Sterling LWB5) and 3.3V (iMX6 SoC) on SDIO interface.

The SDIO on iMX6 can work at up to 200MHz.

I am considering two options for voltage level translators:

TXB0108 vs LSF0108

Which one is more suited for the job?

Thank you!

  • At 200 MHz, there isn't an auto-bidirectional translation solution. There is, however, a direction controlled solution in the SN74AVC2T45 (500 Mbps / 250 MHz clock max)

It's my understanding that only the clock signal operates at 200 MHz. If that's the case, then the SN74AVC1T45 can be used for only the clock signal, then a different device could be used for the slower signals.
