SN74LVC125A: Power Supply Sequencing and the Input Pins

Part Number: SN74LVC125A

I would like to use these to translate 5V signals down to 3.3V signal levels.  Will there be an issue with power supply sequencing if the 5V supply comes up first and starts driving a 5V signal into the input pin before the 3.3V supply used for the SN74LVC125A comes up?  I know that the part can handle the signal levels when its Vcc is in its recommended voltage range of 1.65V to 3.6V, but it is not really clear if this is acceptable or not for an unpowered unit.  In other words, will the input pin provide a low impedance bath through the buffer to the Vcc bus and start trying to back drive the Vcc bus through the SN74LVC125A?  I know that the internal clamp diodes to Vcc have been removed to allow for input voltages exceeding Vcc, so that path shouldn't be present, but I wasn't sure about other possible paths.

Thanks,

Josh
