TXB0102: TXS0102 doesn't work for I2C interface

we translate the I2C from 1.8V to 3.3V, but however the part couldn't work.

change NXP NTS0104 the schematic can work.

TXB0102 couldn't work also.

attach the schematic and TXB0102 is mistake, we'll change schematic to TXS0102

signal line has pull up.

Hello Lanjie,

The TXB is not meant for translation for i2c interface, as it is a buffered device, not an open drain device.
The TXS should work well for i2c interface, as it is an open drain device.

Can you describe in what way it is not working?
Can you share a scope shot of the inputs and outputs?

The TXS0102 and the NTS0102 (not NTS0104) are fully compatible, except for some X2SON packages. Which package are you using?

The TXS already has internal pullups; you do not need external ones.

Hello Michael:
we test TXB0102 and TXS0102 together, but two parts couldn't work . so we bypass the signal to NTS0104 , the schematic can work.
I see NTS0104 is similiar to TXS0104 and TXS0102, we confuse TI part couldn't work.

we use DCT package, the NTS0104 on board also.

The NTS0104 and the TXS0104e should both work in the same system.
Can you please describe in what way the TXS0104e is not working?

You mentioned the DCT package, but there is no DCT package for the TXS0104e. What package are you using for the TXS0104e?

channel 2 is input, channel 1 is output. frequency is 85K.

Hello,

This scope shot looks highly abnormal for what you are doing.
To me, it looks like both sides are being driven directly and the TXS device isn't even able to drive the output.
Are you sure that another device is not driving the output?

Can you please put the following in one post for me:
1. A complete schematic of the TXS0104e device (because the previous schematic is for a 2 channel device) including other devices surrounding it
2. A scope shot and description of each of the channels
3. The package being used for the TXS0104e device (there is no DCT package for the TXS0104e, so this is confusing).

Please provide any additional details you may have to offer to put the problem in perspective.
