SN74LV1T125: 3V3 pull-up resistor connected to input while VCC off

Part Number: SN74LV1T125

Dear Sir/Madame,

I intend to use the SN74LV1T125 in my current design. The device will be used to translate 3V3 signals down to 1V8 signals. Unfortunately, there is a 3V3 pull-up resistor connected to the input while the VCC is off.

Is the device to handle this situation?

  • Hi Andre,
If you check the Absolute Maximum Ratings table and the Recommended Operating Conditions table, you can see that the input voltage (VI) is independent of the supply voltage, and is rated to operate from 0 to 5V. This means that you can have a supply of 0V, and the input can be up to 5V without any unexpected issues.

    Short answer - yes.
