SN74LVC14A: SN74LVC14A

Part Number: SN74LVC14A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC1GU04,

I intend to use this part to make a switched capacitor voltage multiplier where the use of a buffered output stage is needed. Old 5u CMOS denoted buffered gates with a 'B' suffix. This does not appear to be the case with 74LVC gates. TI, can you confirm whether the 74LVC14A has buffered outputs?

  • Hi Marc,
Yes, the SN74LVC14A is a buffered device (the "A" typically indicates a device revision). If a device is unbuffered it is typically denoted with a U in the middle of the part number, and these are very rare to find these days (for example, the SN74LVC1GU04)
