SN74LVC1G08: SN74LVC1G08 output status when power supply is removed

Dear all,

My customer ask a question, he use our SN74LVC1G08.

1) If the supply of SN74LVC1G08 is removed, the 2 input are both L. What the status of the output will be ?

2)Would the output status be Hi-Z ? So he can set a pull-up resistor for desired default H value

Hi Robin,
1) The SN74LVC1G08 has Ioff specified, also called "Partial Power Down protection" -- which means that if the supply pin is at or very near 0V, then all pins of the device will enter a high impedance state.

2) Yes - assuming the supply pin is at 0V. A pull-up resistor can be used to hold the line at some default voltage. Once the device is powered, it will overdrive the resistor and the line will be set by the SN74LVC1G08.
