Lately i found in datasheet of SN74ALVC164245 there's a current information as below, and I don't understand how this current coming from and what's the meaning? thanks.

Thanks for your app note. I still got confused about this, the app note said Delta ICC means each input current, rather than VCC current, and the meaning of datasheet I really can't understand, why the I/O input current will increase for VCC-0.6V? thanks.

Hi Randy,

Icc is the quiescent current consumed under static conditions with input at gnd or Vcc.
When the input voltage is not at gnd or Vcc (read 0.6V away from Vcc or gnd), there is increase in supply current from the baseline (Icc) due to partia turn on of both the PMOS and NMOS transistors. This increase in current is the delta Icc. I hope to do some videos on this shortly and put it out for easier understanding.
