TXS0108E-Q1: for SPI

Part Number: TXS0108E-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0106-Q1, , TXB0104-Q1, TXB0106, LSF0108

Hi,

Customer would like to using level translation for SPI 1.8V to 3.3V in automotive.

TXB0106-Q1 is considered but 125C operating condition is needed.

So TXS0108E-Q1 is considered.

In the datasheet, TXS0108E-Q1 can be used for push-pull IO.

Is it ok to use TXS0108E-Q1 for SPI communication?

Thanks.

  • Hi David,

I know that SPI is a 4 wire interface, SCLK, SS, MISO & MOSI.

I would encourage you to consider using the TXB0104-Q1 which is 125C qualified and ideal for push-pull interface.
  • Hi Rao,
    Customer needs 6ch translator.
So TXB0106 and TXS0108 are considered.
Can't TXS0108 be used for SPI?

    Thanks.
  • TXS could be used for push pull interface too.
with the internal RC time constant to overcome, the data rate can be a challenge. There is LSF0108 which supports 125C but needs external resistors which can be configured to work with the desired data rates as needed.
