TXS0104E: Case temp value

Hi Sirs,

As title, we would like to know Tc value.

We saw there have discussed in other topic, It's said "The max case temperature is not specified for this device."

For our application, when Ta I is 75, the TC will be 108.2.

We scare it's too high so we would like to know Tc Max value.

    Hi Shu-Cheng Lin,

    Do you know the power dissipation of the device?
    The Tc is not so common as much as the junction temperature for which we have abs max specification (150C) beyond which there will be reliability issues.
    The Tj can usually be roughly estimated to be :
    Tj = Ta+ Pd * thetaJA

    knowing the Tj , Tc can also be estimated referring to www.ti.com/.../spra953c.pdf

    Nevertheless, as long as there are no abs max violations on the pins (voltage or current), there should not be any concerns on the performance of the device as it is rated to operate at max 85C ambient temp
