SN74LVC16T245: current source/sink capabilities of each output pin

I need some help interpreting the values in this product datasheet.

I'm interested in knowing the per-pin maximum current source/sink capabilities, as well as the IC's maximum.

From what I can tell, the IC maximum current is limited by the +/-100mA through GND in absolute maximums. Is this per pin or for all ground pins combined?
the continuous output current it listed as +/-50mA in absolute maximums. Is this per pin? If not what is this referring to?
Figures 1 and 2 plot Vol/Voh vs Iol/Ioh and plots all the way to 100mA. Is this the cumulative Ioh/Iol, or is it per-pin?

Thank you for your interest in our device! I will start off by saying it isn't recommended to operate at the abs. max values for this device since we can't guarantee proper operation if the max is exceeded. To answer your question:
Max output current per pin is +/- 50mA
Max current through each VCCA, VCCB, and GND pin is +/- 100mA

I'm curious to know why you need so much drive strength? We may have a better device for your application.

Thanks, we don't intend to run the device near the maximum, but we needed to know what it was in order to scale our loads to a reasonable level. The driver is intended to send signals through a pretty noisy environment with potentially long cables, so we wanted to have as much current as reasonable for each of the signals present to prevent false positives. Timing is also important so we liked that the tphl/tplh are pretty low with this driver.

So just to confirm, the maximum current through all ground pins would be +/-100mAx7=+/-700mA, and since there are two VCCx pins they have 200mA total current in the absolute limit.

Correct. There are 8 GND pins though so it would be +/- 800 mA. Another thing to keep an eye on are the thermals of the device with this much current.
