SNJ54LS244J output side observing 3.4V signal level

Hi ,

In our design we are using SNJ54LS244J CDIP package. The inputs are provided 5V signals but at the output side while probing observing 3.4 V signals level.
As per datasheet we are observing 3.4V typical value.Kindly let us know why we are not observing at output side maximum 5V signal level.
