SN74LVC1G08: question about spec (maximum VIH)

Part Number: SN74LVC1G08

Hi,

The SN74LVC1G08 Gate IC does not have a MAX input level in VIH, so please check the maximum VIH level.

1. in case of VCC is 1.8V

2. in case of VCC is 3.3V

thanks,

TS

  • Hello TS,

The maximum recommended input voltage is 5.5V, and the absolute maximum input voltage is 6.5V.

You might be confusing VIH (high-level input voltage) with VT+ (positive-going input threshold).  These specs are very often confused, but are not the same.  The SN74LVC1G08 has standard CMOS inputs, and their thresholds will always be at approximately VCC/2.

  • I have been inquiring about tolerance allowed in Input when VCC is fixed.
If 1.8 V is applied to VCC, check the maximum allowable value of IC input.

    VCC: 1.8V
    MIN: 0.65V x Vcc / MAX: ??

    VCC: 3.3V
    MIN: 2V / MAX: ??
  • Hi TS,

As I stated above, the maximum recommended input voltage is 5.5V. I did not specify a limit on Vcc because the two are not related.
