We have a device of UART communication protocol with 5V VCC and GND UART , In our product we want to interface it with TM4C1294NCPDT MCU so to communicate with it we need a 5 v to 3.3v Bidirectional logic level IC so will you please suggest... Suitable Part..

Hi Yogesh,

we offer SN74LVC2T45 or the SN74LVC8T245 which are both from the direction controlled translation device family for the 3.3V<->5V translation.

Please let me know if this works for you.

Thanks but theses IC have the only 1 DIR pin, We are using both RX and TX of both module and MCU so while RX of module is input and TX is output. So The IC you have given will work as only unidirectional on Logic of DIR pin. While using the RX and TX of module we have convert TX 5v to 3.3 volt and to RX 3.3 V to 5 volt. which is not possible in SN74LVC2T45 .

So We have selected TXS0102. It will work ?

Yogesh,

For UART, I would suggest using the TXB0102 instead of the TXS0102.
TXB is suitable for push pull interface like UART instead of the TXS which is suitable for OD interface.
