TXB0302: Output Logic "0" shift to above 1V_TXB0302

Part Number: TXB0302
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXS0102

Hello TI E2E forum,

          Am using the TXB0302 part for I2C level translating purpuse(VCCA - 1.8V to VCCB - 3.3 V).

But My I2C is Failing, because this TXB0302 output  logic 0 is shifted above 1V, My slave wont accept the Logic above 0.5V.

The TXB0302 Data sheet doesn't mentioned about this shift. Here with I have attached the screenshot for your reference. Kindly suggest me any possible way to short out this issue.

Thanks With Regards,

  • Hi Venkatesh,

TXB0302 is not suitable for I2C level translation since the interface is open-drain and TXB is buffered device with internal 1k limiting resistor which will form a voltage divider with the external pull-up you have for the interface.
Please consider switching to TXS0102 for I2C level shifting and let me know if you have any issues.
