TXB0104: Application interface issue.

Team: My customer working with the design that contains the MT25QL02GCBB8E12-0SIT. Currently he is experiencing issues when interfacing with the TI TXB0104PWR (IC VOLT-LEVEL TRANSLATOR 14TSSOP), Everything looks good with respect to clk and MOSI, but MISO (output of flash) seems to have an issue.

It appears that it cannot drive rail to rail and causes the TXB0104PWR to ring, occasionally. He was wondering if you have seen similar behavior or if I missed something in the datasheet. He believed the MT25QL02GCBB8E12-0SIT could drive into a level shifter, but he may have missed something.

Please see attached. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Hi Naser,

Could we get some scope shots of this issue? This would help a lot if we could get the input and output waveforms on the same screen. If they have more than two channels on their scope including a probe on the VCC pin would be great!

Another thought, should I put a pull up on the other sided as well to prevent possible direction problems.

micro -> TXB104 -> chip select_L (Flash)

I have confirmed my problem was a floating GPIO at micro and the load of the TXB104 causing GPIO to goto GND thus my TXB104 to drive low at CS side. I tried a 10K but it did not have enough strength to pull up to the rail, but a 4K7 appears to work fine. I am looking for confirmation to make my system reliable. Are resistors best on both sides? How about just the 4K7?
