hi,

I need a buffer to convert 1.8V UART lines (4 lines) to 3.3V lines. Please suggest me a suitable buffer. preferable very low power and smaller size because it's for battery operated wearables.

what you need is a level shifter like the 74LV1T34, for instance:

Hi Pragash,
The SN74AVC4T245 is your best bet for a 4 channel 1.8V to 3.3V unidirectional translator in a tiny package. It's available in the RSV package, measuring only 2.6mm x 1.8mm x 0.5mm

Sorry for not being precise in my above question. so preferably smaller size, very low power and low cost buffer for UART communication is needed.

hi emrys,
i think your suggestion is perfect for my problem. im just thinking trade speed for something else (size, cost, battery life)because the speed is too much for UART and i never going to use 380Mbps speed at all!.

no. i just need buffer. the one emrys suggested is great for me because i can boost all four UART line in one single chip.
