TXB0302: VOH and VOL

Hi,

Considering there's no external pull-up and pull-down resistor on A1/A2/B1/B2 pins, what would be the VOH/min and VOL/max of these pins?

Hi Antony,

If you look in the datasheet, you can find that info in the electrical characteristics table. The first four rows should cover it.

Thanks. I did see that in datasheet as below, but I'm not 100% sure how to use for the scenario I mentioned. Since there's no external pullup and pulldown resistor on board, should I consider Rpu and Rdw are "infinity". If this is true, Vol would be 0 and Voh would be exactly Vccout. Am I right?

Vol = Vccout × 1.5k/(1.5k + Rpu) and Voh = Vccout × Rdw/(1.5k + Rdw).

Hey Antony,
What does not having an external pull-up have to do with the VOH/VOL spec in the datasheet? This part doesn't really agree with pull-ups or pull-downs anyways.

Hi Emrys,

I still don't fully understand this. So, what does Rdw and Rpu (as shown in below from datasheet) mean? Do you mean customer should not add external pull-up/pull-down resistor in any case?

Vol = Vccout × 1.5k/(1.5k + Rpu) and Voh = Vccout × Rdw/(1.5k + Rdw).

Antony,

Please refer to the app note for the effects of pullup and pulldown resistors on TXB devices.
It also talks about the TXS devices as well along with the scopeshots of results.
TXB0302 device will also be similiar to the TXB010x series.
