SN74LV1T34: LV1T ICC vs VIN for VDD = 5V

Part Number: SN74LV1T34
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC1G07, SN74LVC1T45

Hi

Comment: the landing page for this device should point to the app note "LV1T Family of Single Supply Translators" which is useful.

Figure 2 on this app note shows ICC as a function of VIN for 3.3V VDD. Is there data for VDD = 5V? I am using this as 3.3V to 5V translation, and want to ensure I am not incurring a significant current draw at VIH.

Thanks!

  • Hi John,
    Thanks for the comment.

It's really best to use a dual supply translator if you're worried about power, but these typically remain below 2mA supply with a 3.3V -> 5V translation input.

You might take a look at SN74LVC1T45. Another option would be to use an open-drain buffer such as SN74LVC1G07.
