SN74LVC2G17: Schmitt threshold parameters: SN74LVC2G17 vs. SN74LVC1G17

Part Number: SN74LVC2G17
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC1G17,

Hello TI,

sces381n and sces351v currently specify broader Vt+ and Vt- threshold ranges (min to max) for the SN74LVC2G17 than the SN74LVC1G17, which is better specified. Are these two devices actually internally constructed identically, as far as each input is concerned? If we therefore require two inputs with the input threshold specifications of the SN74LVC1G17, would using one SN74LVC2G17 in reality be the same as using two SN74LVC1G17, as far as these input threshold ranges are concerned? Is a datasheet update required for the SN74LVC2G17 in this regard?
