LSF0108: RKS R-PVQFN-N20 recommended land pattern?

Part Number: LSF0108

It has been asked before, but the employee who answered didn't seem to notice that there is only a package drawing, not a recommended land pattern.

Can this be found anywhere or am I left to guess what works just from the package drawing?

  • Hi Daniel,
I would recommend just using the footprint that is provided on our website - although it seems that it's not showing up for the LSF0108.

I did a search on our packaging page and found a few other devices in the same package, and they all (except LSF0108) have a CAD file associated with them that you should be able to use.

The BXL file has to be converted using Ultra Librarian (free software) to whatever board design software format you need.

Ideally, you would tweak this design depending on your manufacturing process to have the best solution for your end equipment. For example, since I solder all my own (hobby) boards and often expect to replace devices, I typically add a millimeter or two on all pin contact points so I can more easily populate my devices, plus I give ~100um overlap with the solder mask to improve strength/resolderability.
