Looking for 8 bit shift register ,same  as the the 16 bit 74LS673 function

    Hi Eli,
    What do you mean by "same as"? We offer the SN74LS673, which is exactly the same... but if you want something in 8 bit, that's obviously going to be quite different. Are you looking for something in the same (extremely out-dated) technology, or just a standard 8-bit shift register?

    My first recommendation would be the SN74HC164 and the SN74HC595, depending on your use case.

    I meant same functionality device,but with 8 bit only

    I don't know of an 8-bit device with exactly the same feature set as the '673, however the aforementioned SN74HC595 is a very broadly used 8-bit serial-in / parallel-out shift register that has all the features I think are really necessary for such a device. That would be my top choice.

    Additionally, the '595 is available in the X1QFN package that makes it able to squeeze into exceptionally small spaces when needed.
