SN74AVC8T245: Minimum VCC

Part Number: SN74AVC8T245

Hello,

I am currently using the SN74AVC8T245, though I'm noticing that it starts to operate when VCCx (3.3V) reaches 0.4/0.5V. This is too soon and causes power sequencing problems in some cases.

What is the minimum VCCx voltage at which the part will start operating?

Don

  • Hi Donald,

Operation at .4/.5 V VCC seems pretty low, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. This is why we recommend throughout the datasheet to have a pull-up to VCC on the OE pin to ensure a high-impedance state during power up or power down. We spec the device to properly operate at a minimum of 1.2 V VCC.
