The customer want to generate 24.576MHz from 8KHz input.

Is it possible to achieve upper operation using SN74LV4046A?

If possible, could you please show us circuit example?

We could not refer any user guide and application note.

Hi Na,

You would need to divide the VCO out by a factor of N to accomplish this. Your N is 3072 since you are trying to multiply 8KHz into 24.576MHz. If you wanted to use a frequency divider you would have to make 2^N = 3072. In this case the N would be ~11.5 which wouldn't be possible so I don't know if this application will be possible.

Customer told us wrong value.

They intended to generate 32.76MHz from 8KHz.

N would be 12.

Is it possible with this requirement?
They would use SN74LV4040 as divider.

Hi na,

This should work then. I don't know what tolerances you can allow for the frequency, but it probably won't be a spot on 32.76MHz.
