SN74AVC8T245: VQFN thermal pad connection to GND?

I wanted to confirm that the thermal pad of the VQFN package may be connected to ground. I did not see it explicitly stated in the datasheet.

Hello James,
Yes, the thermal pad should be connected directly to ground. This is true for all "SN74" (aka Standard Logic) devices, unless the datasheet specifies otherwise.
