SN74LVTH245A: Undershoot ratings for short time periods

Part Number: SN74LVTH245A

I am using a few different LVT/LVTH buffers on one of my designs and I am seeing undershoot on high to low transitions that exceed the maximum input range of -0.5V.  The other parts in my design have notes on their datasheets that say the maximum undershoot can be exceeded for short periods of time for certain voltage ranges (usually as a function of the unit interval of the switching).  My question is, do these TI buffers have dynamic limits for the undershoot values for short periods of time or is the -0.5V input voltage the absolute threshold?

The values I am seeing in the simulations are around -1V for <1ns, -0.5V for <2ns. These signals are in a 40MHz clock domain, so fastest transition will be every 25ns.

Thanks.
