not just theta JA. Also need max junction.

more generally, does TI have a database we can access to get the above info? I know they used to. In fact, it was called the thermal database, but i can't locate it anymore

Hi Tom,
I'm not familiar with a 'thermal database' for TI parts.

The logic devices make this very easy though - the max junction temperature is always equal to the maximum storage temperature, and that's 150C. This answer is also avaialble in our FAQ: e2e.ti.com/.../3539.04-power-thermals

It's important to note that max junction temperature very rarely limits a design for logic since these devices don't use a lot of power. The absolute maximum ratings table has a list of other specs (current, voltage, etc) that are much more likely to limit your design.

After re-reading your post, I think you're also looking for other standard thermal specs. I will submit a request to our thermal team to get those and should have a response within 1 to 2 weeks.
