CD4011B: why darker appearance?

Hi,

I wonder why the colour of appearance gets darker than before? (used to be white)

Can I find any document on your website to explain this?

I need to show to my client.

Hi Anthony,
The lead frame composition has not been changed, and the performance remains the same.

TI has added roughened leadframes to many of our devices as part of our ongoing efforts to continuously improve our products. Roughened leadframes have better solder adhesion than the old leadframes.

Is there any document saying this added roughened leadframes on the website?
My clients require me me to prove their performance has remained the same.

The performance is guaranteed by the datasheet and backed by Texas Instruments. The color of the leadframe is not a specification we guarantee, nor does it impact performance.

I believe we do have a document that explains this, but I will have to look into it when I return to work on Monday.
