RoHS (EU)2015/863 ?

Hi ,

Kindly confirm whether all  catalog  TI GREEN parts are RoHS 2015/863 complaint without any exemption or not ?

  • Hello PRADUMAN,

You can read about TI's RoHS status in the Quality Handbook section: https://www.ti.com/support-quality/environmental-info/lead-free.html .  As you can see on this page, all devices are RoHS compliant with a few EU exemptions.  For each device you are using in your design, RoHS and other Quality information is available on each Product Folder page.

I hope this satisfies your inquiry.

  • All,

Minor education before answering.  The referenced EU RoHS Directive (EU)2015/863 updated the list of substances under restriction from 6 to 10.  The 4 new substances all fall under the phthlates category.  This Directive was released in 2015 but does not come into affect until July 2019.  That said, TI has already evaluated its products and phthaltes in general are not used, let alone the 4 specific phthalates listed in this newer version of EU RoHS.  TI products listed as RoHS = Yes or RoHS = Exempt are fully compliant to the new phthalate restrictions.  Products listed by TI as "Green" also are fully compliant.  TI has a statement on www.ti.com/ecoinfo with this information
