Hi,

Can you please help me to understand how much max current is consumed if I use all the channels in TXS0108E for UART communication.

    Hi Aditya,

    The Icc current in the datasheet only considers the static or quiescent current when the inputs and outputs are not switching. 

    once the inputs and outputs are switching, then dynamic current consumption must be taken into account. This is explained in the CMOS power calculation app note here below. Dynamic power is directly dependent on the IO data rate, load capacitance, Cpd, Vcc and external ambient operating temperature. 

    also, due to the pullup resistance, the current consumption will increase when the input is held low.

    I have attached the guide to TXS app note for more information on the working of the device.

    I hope that this helps, however, I do not have a number to quote for the current consumption.
