CD54AC05: I am looking for an IBIS model for this part.

Part Number: CD54AC05

I am looking for an IBIS model for part CD54AC05.

  • Jeff,
unfortunately we do not have an IBIS model for this device nor commercial equivalent.

  • I need to simulate this part. Is there any recommendation for what would be the best source for constructing a model for this part?
  • Hey Jeff,
I can think of a few options:

    (1) There is a commercial SN74AC04 IBIS model available here: www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware

The SN74AC05 has a very similar technology and output structure, except that the PMOS has been removed. It's not a perfect solution, but for the negative output edges this would get you a "in the ballpark" waveform to look at.

    (2) We can build a PSpice model that would match the output characteristics reasonably well. Unfortunately, PSpice typically won't tell you much regarding T-line analysis like IBIS does.

    (3) We could test the part in the lab under conditions you request. This would take some time depending on our workload and what tests you need (~1-2 weeks).

    (4) We could build a new IBIS model for the device -- this will also require lab tests on our end and typically takes considerable time to complete, test, and release (~6-8 weeks).
