SN74HC164: PCN for 74HC164PW

Part Number: SN74HC164

My customer has always used 74HC164PWRE4 but now is being replaced by 74HC164PWRG4. Was there a PCN issued for this changeover? If so, please advise.

Hello Rick,

The last two letter of the part number such as E3, E4, G3, G4 are used to denote environmental standards. They do not change the functionality of the part.
