SN74LVC244A: Absolute Transient Spec

Hi Team,

Is there any absolute transient spec for SN74LVC244A that higher than current absoulte rating in datasheet?
In datasheet absoulte spec based on continuous, not transient case I think.

Hi Jade,

There isn't a spec for transient current, it is spec'd as continuous current. However, the transient current should stay under that spec as well to avoid any stress to the device.

Hi Dylan,

One more question, when measured at output pin of SN74LVC244A, overshoot/undershoot already over spec than absolute rating.
Even if placed damping resistor after SN74LVC244A, actual output voltage out of absolute rating but it sholud be OK.
Please confirm it.

Hi Jade,

With the damping resistor limiting current this should be ok.
