SN74LV244A: Power pad to GND?

Hi guys,

We are looking at using the SN74LV244A VQFN package. It is unclear from the datasheet if we should connect the power pad to ground, and if there is a recommended via pattern for the footprint?

As for a via pattern -- no, we don't recommend a via pattern.
