TXB0104: Level translator drive strength

Hello,

It will prove difficult to drive a 50 uA processor with an auto bidirectional translator. As mentioned in this appnote, it is not possible to drive larger than 20uA current due to a 4k buffer internal to the TXB device.

Please share a schematic or application for me to be able to suggest a part or help find a solution.

Hello Veena,

I believe you can use the SN74AVC4T245 for 3 of the 4 bits of SPI translation that are in one direction and for the 4th bit you can use the 2N7001T. Note that the SN74AVC4T245 for the voltages you provided does a max translation speed of 380 Mbps.

If you can route it, you can also just use 4 of the 2N7001T devices to accomplish this. This will be a more compact solution since the devices are so small.
