LSF0102-Q1: LSF0102-Q1

Part Number: LSF0102-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LSF0102

Hi,

In our application we need  translation between 1.2V and 1.8V. Can LSF0102QDCU-Q1 use as level translator in this case? Because in datasheet it is mentioned that  " Vref_B should be in the range of  Vref_A + 0.8  to 5.5V. Also Vref_B and VI(EN) are recommended to be at 1.0 V higher than Vref_A for best signal integrity. So is it make a problem if i use this part for  translation between 1.2V and 1.8V ?

  • Hello,

Yes, you can use the LSF0102 to translate from 1.8V to 1.2V. However as you mentioned, there needs to be a .8V difference between VrefA and VrefB for the translation to occur. So one way to do this is to use a single supply with resistors to do voltage division. You should view the entire LSF training series to understand how it works and it also discusses this single supply translation with how to calculate the resistor values.
