unfortunately I am not familiar with dual supply devices like the SN74AVC4T774 , thus I am asking a possibly silly question:
Is it allowed to connect the input or control pins (A, B, DIR, nOE) directly to GND or their corresponding supply rail without any resistance apart from the PCB trace? Some additional quiescent current is not hurting in my application, as long as the design is reliable. The directions are not switched during runtime, thus it is impossible to connect an output accidentally to GND or power later, if the design is correct.
